With plenty of left over yarn and ample free time, how can you not start a ripple? After all, idle hands are the devil's play things. It would be wicked of me not to embark on this massive project.
I began using Jan Eaton's "Soft Waves" pattern. That did not go well. As I am not a seasoned veteran of crocheting, the afghan started looking like a trapezoid after a few rows. How it managed to go so wrong I do not know, but I quickly gave up and found an easier pattern here.
I only learned how to crochet two years ago, but it wasn't until I became pregnant with my baby girl that I really got into it. I went and bought myself a stash of yarn (I am a hoarder of things) and a book. The first big project I completed was a blanket for my then unborn daughter. The pattern was from Alicia Paulson, called "Tiramisu Baby Blanket".
The ripple is going to be the family afghan. For napping under, lounging on top of and keeping us warm. The blog is just for fun.
